Looks great Albert. Why is the fender well cut out?

Lookin' good. Now that he's out of hibernation, let's get him to the Miller Casa and get some widened wheels on him already! And you're gonna
catch some flack here for that Lipstick plate!!! I for one love the roof damage and bar under the spring plates. That bar had to have been for a cable to run
through to hold the car a certain way...Tory

Yeah, H6's roof damage is so neat. I'm glad you never had it repaired.
Dann, the holes in the wheel wells are for his movie trick. |

I don't think he could have had the roof repaired without grafting on another complete roof from the decklid forward.
This was the first Herbie movie car I ever saw, and I hadn't seen the welded bar for many years, but looking at it again, it's very nearly the same construction as the H2 rollbar. It looks like the same diameter pipe, and the same type of pinch bolts welded in. (H2 has them in the center, to connect two halves of the rollbar together.) This is the first actual evidence I've seen that Albert's car was built by the same folks who built H2. |

Albert, he looks good! I'm happy to see him out! You should think about adding the story of the car and how you came to own it... I know it has been told
in pieces here and there but I'm sure many would like to hear it again... Didn't you decide that H6 was the car that hangs its nose over the cliff? I
recall seeing a photo somewhere of a car used in that scene with a safety cable and bar setup like yours. It would make sense to use the radio controlled car
for a dangerous stunt like that....

Well that's what I had been told when I purchased the car due to the roof damage. When the dvd came out, we determined that the car spun on its roof was
actually the fiberglass body car used to jump across the pond, bounce off the rolls royce, etc. So I'm not 100% sure exactly where H6 was used in the
movie. Thanks to Tory's research, we've determined that it was a remote controlled stunt car of some sort. As for the huge holes cut out of the front
of the body, this was for an eyeball mechanism similar to what would have been seen on the parade cars. When H6 was used in Rides Again, for the nightmare
scene the headlights were replaced with moving eyeballs and robotic arms. The mounting holes are still visible as the black filled spots. That bar under the
car is up for anyones guess as to what on earth it is. I've never actually pulled the wheel off to see what it's attached to, it looks as though
it's attached to the spring plates. Otherwise, all of the seatbelt, rollbar, and various other contraption holes are still on/in the car, as the pans are
still the originals.

I guess I meant here:
And I meant to say tail, not nose......sorry Of course, that hollow tube would be a convenient mounting for this setup:
Food for thought....

There's a closeup photo of the car hanging its tail off the cliff, and it's also the fiberglass bodied car. The way to tell is by the lack of louvers
under the rear window.
The wagon wheel car looks as if it had a white Porsche front drum that was sprayed black in the center before the wheel was removed, which leads me to think this may in fact be Herbie No. 2 with yet another stunt to its credit. |

The details are facinating but I also feel the need to say it's just very cool to see this type of sharing. Nice and thanks.

Wondering if you could send me a small piece of stripe so i can match it for my h2 replica its all most finished the roll bar is being put together with the
gussets plates. The guy from England sent me template's of the gussets so they are correct. You can e-mail me at dmaas73@gmail.com
Thanks Albert if you would. Sincerely Dewey |

Sorry Dewey, the stripe came from me and was just an educated guess!
Looks pretty darn good, doesn't it? |

Nice Albert!
Some of the best and most detailed photos I've seen of your Herbie.

It's nice to see some of the hidden things that were done for filming. Thanks Albert. |

That lighter blue looks great for a Love Bug replica, I'll have to find a
place that actually makes the 3 colours in one single stripe of vinyl, instead of the 3 stripes I purchased for Berto. They tend to come apart, and you can see the small gaps between them...looks bad. Do you have any lighter blue stripes for sale, Greg!? Would you ship them here!? appreciated, rui |

Nope. I only have the sequel style. (Same as I sent you.)

Hey, your dash grab handle is on upside down (flat side down). You'll find the bases conform much better to the dash if you turn it over.
