This 1964 Beetle is going to be displayed at this weekends Concours d'Elegance in Forest Grove, Oregon. It was purchased new in Vancouver WA., and never driven. The hubcaps and wiper blades have never been installed. This is as much of a time capsule Beetle as will likely ever be seen. I'm looking forward to getting a closer look at this bug. I hope they don't put my Herbie next to this little gem.
This Beetle was more amazing than I expected. The current owner (the og buyers nephew) simply washed it and replaced the oil and gas. It has the original hubcaps, wiper arms and blades and battery cover in original factory wrappers on the rear floor. The dealer had installed the radio, antenna and undercoat. The window stickers are still in place including the "options" including 5 white wall tires at a total cost of $35. The owner is a very nice guy and not surprisingly "heavyweight offers" are already pouring in. An unnamed collector from Germany has offered an unspecified 6 figure amount for the car. I suspect that it will break records when and if it does sell.
