Yes, Ford Consul and a good UK seller for Ford. I believe this is one of the last 1962 models.
The Consul name was revived in 1972 and appeared as a lower spec Ford Granada which shared the shame bodyshell before the name disappeared in 1975; all models then being badged "Granada".

Ha ! Yes, that should have read "Same Bodyshell" - case of hitting the wrong key and then not reading it back strikes again. Well, you have to blame something after all
No complaints from me about the boxy shaped Consul or Granada. I remember liking the very last of the line 1985 Mk2 Granada Ghia X Excecutive models. Really smart looking cars they were and probably one the most high spec cars you could buy at that point. The more rounded Mk 3 was ok too and very much a car of it's time but the re designed Scorpio of the mid 90's was where it all went wrong...
Of course the 1970's Ford Consul became an iconic car after the model was often seen on TV's The Sweeney.
