Okay, so I did a couple of things today. Put the trickle charger on the battery, and got it started without floor pedals! Started up no problems!! Also, put the jack stands under the 4 corners - my welder neighbour, Irwin, wanted it up on the stands so he didn't have to lean over so far to weld in the floor pan and spare well. Just gotta find time for him to come over actually weld. I've got to get some seam sealer and look at what I can get local for the floors (POR15, bedliner, etc), that is economical. Then I can get going on other things. I think I'll take a look-see at the brake system, and take stock of what I absolutely need, and what would also be nice to do at the same time. I do have 4 shocks to install, as well as heater box cables. I also have some sanding to do on the body, and I need to look at when to put in the sunroof, though that can wait. I'd like to get it to the point where I could get the safety check done, and get it roadworthy. I'd need to get lights working, do whatever on the brakes, and get a set of tires...wipers and horn work...and put together the driver's door. Should get a rubber set for the doors. Then get to primer at least before safety. I'd like to get to the point that I could get Rusty (Maybe need to soon change to UnRusty, or Russ, perhaps) to that point by late spring, so I could potentially drive him next summer. There's a long overdue goal! Then I can get the kinks out, and figure out what I'm going to do about paint, whether I try to DIY it, or have it painted. Time will tell!!
