Within the past few weeks I have picked up some great new toys.

Lets start with a trio that I got from one of the coolest vintage VW toy collectors I know.

First I will start with this 1:40th scale Wiking, it is a '59 Single Cab in dove blue complete with bed cover. These don't come cheap and this is my first Wiking in this size.

Turning a well played Flik into herbie.

I bought a few Pixar Cars toys at flea-markets & Ebay, Well that gave me a idea with Flik And PT flea. Since they were well played with and not in A+ condition to be displayed , I decided to have some fun with both of them.

OldBug.com will be selling these in the future just like the 1:12 buses. Randy says the window cranks make the windows go up and down, the semaphores can be pulled out, and you can remove each lug to take wheels off.

Solid window Wikings

Warning to Ray or anyone else who starts down this path, collecting 1/87 Wikings is addictive. I have 75 cars ranging from the 1940s through the '70s, and only now do I feel satisfied that I have a good selection.

I did a Google search for custom Herbie Transformers when I stumbled across a thread on TFW2005 heralding Bumblebee as being directly influenced by Herbie. (Like we didn't know that!) This may be the first time I've seen this though.

It seems the mini-bot characters from the old G1 days were directly made from existing toy car molds from a line called Choro-Q, which was manufactured by Takara. Thus it is not so unbelievable that these cars paved the way for the...

Ok I know that I am not the only one on this board that has a haphazardly displayed collection.
I am thinking that I want to clean up the look of my collection. What do you guys suggest, and where did you go to find what you got?

I am thinking wall mount acrylic cases for my 1:87 to 1:60 scale cars but I am open to other options.
