headliner or not?

Today I've been going back and fourth about deciding if I should keep my headliner or toss it. I kinda boogered it up during the cutting, I could probably fix it but is it really worth it? There's always the option of going movie correct and painting the roof gray (which I would like)

I do have a few questions for those of you who have gone without them. Does the noise in the cabin become horribly annoying, does it become colder in the winter, and how hard is it to remove...

Last night, my 7 year old son and I put the body back on, and the motor back in, in under a 1/2 hr. We are like a nascar pitstop when it comes to using 2x4s and milk crates! That body goes up and down ALMOST as much as Oprah's weight. I am now planning Herbies Details and ordering all the stuff tonight. Any comment is greatly appreciated if i am wrong with something.
I've finally decided, that Herbie becomes a HRA car (still searching for a Carello light).

- Grey sunroof cover
- 101 mirror
- New black running boards (what is the correct width of the trim? Is it 18mm, 33mm, ...?)
- Single foot antenna (right side)
